What a custom dog cartoon looks like
Our Cartoon Face style is a vector-like illustration of your pet's head and face, inspired by the sticker and character art that's become so popular on handmade marketplaces. Outlines are confident, colors are bright and flat, and the expression gets a little extra charm.
Even with the simplified look, we keep your pet's real markings and colors, so a patch over one eye or a white blaze stays right where it belongs.
Think of it as the difference between a photo and a caricature drawn with love. A cartoon cat portrait might give your tabby slightly bigger eyes and a rounder face; a cartoon of your Lab will make that happy grin even happier. The result is cheerful without being silly, and it's easy to recognize even at small sizes, which is why it works so well on socks and ornaments.
Background and name options
As wall art, the Cartoon Pet Portrait puts your pet's name on top and lets you pick the background.
- Backdrops: white, cream, blush, sage, charcoal or rainbow
- Name lettering: Classic, Elegant or Handwritten
- Charcoal: makes bright cartoon colors pop
- Blush or sage: soft and sweet for nurseries
Pets and people who love the cartoon style
Every pet looks adorable as a cartoon, but expressive faces are especially fun: Pugs, Shih Tzus, Corgis, Huskies, Siamese cats and grumpy-faced Persians. It's great for families with young kids, first-time pet parents and anyone who wants something lighthearted.
For the photo, a front-facing close-up with the whole head in frame is ideal. Clear eyes and ears give the cartoon its personality. Skip photos with costumes, hats or heavy filters, since those can end up in the drawing.
